The Mini Mariners

The eldest of the Mini Mariners is Kieran at 11 years old. Kieran will be going to Caistor Grammer from September and is very excited about this, which is more then can be said of mum! Kieran is the only Mini Mariner to have attended a league game before this coming season! Kieran doesn’t really take an interest in playing football but he has a keen interest in the rules and stats of the game. Kieran’s other strong interest is computers and IT, this led to him being selected on the Virgin Media ‘Generation Tech’ panel where as well as trips to London he also got to meet Sir Richard Branson. Kieran’s endeavours also led to him being crowned ‘Super Hero of the Year 2016’ at the recent Viking FM Cash for Kids awards. Kieran also loves Lego be it building it or playing the latest Xbox games. His biggest topic at the moment is Star Wars, if you see us at a game and your a big fan ask him any question and it’s entirely possible he will know the answer!

Mini Mariner Harry is 8 years old and attends Old Clee Primary Academy. Harry’s first GTFC game came when he was 2 years old and he’s barely missed a game since, travelling the country with his mum Kelly (a season ticket holder for 25+ years) and his fellow Mini Mariners Kieran and Kloe and their mum Kristine. Totally dedicated to GTFC, Harry, known widely as ‘H’ is a strictly one team supporter, he has no interest in following premiership teams and is well known for his passion for all things Grimsby Town. H is a very talented young footballer, he plays up front and is something of a super striker and last season incredibly scored in every Gradely league game he played in totting up over 35 goals for his team and was lucky enough to have a few teams chasing to sign him when the season had ended. He will be playing up front this season for Discoveries MJW U9’s which has been a fantastic move for him and he will no doubt carry on scoring goals for fun. H idolised Nathan Arnold last season and was lucky enough to go on the promotion winning open top bus tour with his hero after a season of attending pretty much every home and away fixture. H is very much looking forward to another season following the Mighty Mariners and if you see him and the Mini Mariners on their travels make sure you all say hello! UTM!

Kloe is the youngest of the Mini Mariners at 7 years old and currently attends Weelsby Academy. She loves to play football and is a keen boxer, attending training every week where she received ‘Boxer of the Month’ recently.  Whilst she loves to wearing of her many GTFC kits she also likes nothing else then to put on a dress and become a beautiful princess. Just like all the other Mini Mariners Kloe is well known amongst players her long time favourite being James McKeown and she is lucky enough to have a pair of his gloves and a warm up top. Kloes other favourite last season was ‘Toto N’siala. This friendship blossomed after she was hit in the face with a ball at BP during the warm up. Toto took good care of her and sorted out a shirt to cheer her up. This all culminated in boarding the open top bus tour alongside Toto with Harry. Memories of a lifetime!
